When sharing a video that highlighted her time on the show, the former 'Orange Is the New Black' actress notes, 'I have stayed silent because that's my choice for now.'

AceShowbiz - Ruby Rose has posted a cryptic message addressing her shocking exit from TV series "Batwoman" after just one season, telling fans, "those who know, know."

The 34-year-old actress left the world stunned last week (ends May 24) when she announced she was leaving the program, and gave no reasons for her departure in a carefully worded statement.

However, in a new Instagram post, Ruby opened up slightly about the decision as she told her followers that "staying silent" is her "choice for now."

"Thank you everyone for coming on this journey. If I mentioned everyone it would be 1000 tags.. but Thank you to the cast, crew, producers and studio," Ruby wrote alongside a highlight video of her time on the show. "It wasn't an easy decision but those who know, know."

"I didn't want to not acknowledge everyone involved and how big this was for TV and for our community. I have stayed silent because that's my choice for now but know I adore you all. I'm sure next season will be amazing also. Xxx *hangs up cowl and cape."

It remains to be seen who will be stepping into Ruby's shoes as Batwoman for the second season, with network The CW yet to announce her replacement.

Ruby's Instagram post quickly drew encouraging remarks from her fans, with one writing, "As long as the choice to leave was 100 per cent yours, we fans will respect it and look forward to your next adventure. You freakin rock, Ruby!"
