AceShowbiz - Weeks after filing for divorce from Ray J, Princess Love made a move to get sole legal and physical custody of her two kids, daughter Melody Norwood and son Epik, whom she shares with the singer. Additionally, the "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" star requested child support from Ray.
According to the court documents, Princess granted Ray scheduled visitation for him to spend time with their kids. Meanwhile, she asked the court to make her not be required to support Ray in any fashion.
Princess' decision to get full custody of their children might come as surprise to fans since Ray appeared to be a doting father of their kids. During the listening party for his new single "Stranded" on Thursday, May 21, he gave his kids a shoutout.
"I'm at the house with the kids now, and for us to just spend time together and, you know, talking, and just being great parents, I think a lot of things will unfold from that. And I think that's a good start with us, just spending time with the kids, and making sure that Melody has a great birthday," Ray revealed. Princess and Ray's daughter will be celebrating her second birthday this Saturday, May 23.
"Through all of that, we can listen and understand each other, and hopefully [stay] positive. Right now, we just locked in with the parenting. And God is good," he continued.
Princess allegedly filed divorce docs on Thursday, May 7 in Los Angeles County Superior Court after being married to him for nearly 4 years. The VH1 personality has yet to comment on the report but she seemingly implied in an Instagram post that the report is "no cap." The now-deleted post featured an image of a blue hat while she wrote in the caption, "Repost."
The pair had been facing some marital woes with Princess accusing Ray of leaving his wife and daughter "stranded" in Las Vegas, two days after the family of three attended the BET Soul Train Awards last November, while she was pregnant with her second child. She alleged that Ray blocked Princess from "calling."
