Ruby Rose Reunites With 'Batwoman' Co-star to Take on Shakespeare

The former 'Batwoman' leading lady is set to take on a William Shakespeare classic 'Twelfth Night' with former castmate Nicole Kang for charity following her exit from the DC series.

AceShowbiz - Ruby Rose is bouncing back from her "Batwoman" bombshell by taking on William Shakespeare.

The Australian actress has announced her first project following her shock exit from TV superhero show "Batwoman", and it airs on Friday, May 22, 2020.

Ruby will lead the cast of a live reading of "Twelfth Night" as part of the Acting For a Cause series to benefit the Entertainment Industry Foundation and COVID-19 relief at Mount Sinai hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

Rose will play the lead role of Viola, alongside model and actor Brandon Thomas Lee as Duke Orsino and {t=Never Have I Ever]" 's Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Olivia.

Her "Batwoman" co-star Nicole Kang will play Maria.

Earlier this week, Rose revealed she was walking away from "Batwoman" after just one season, stating, "I am beyond appreciative to Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Caroline Dries for not only giving me this incredible opportunity, but for welcoming me into the DC universe they have so beautifully created... Thank you to everyone who made season one a success - I am truly grateful."

Series co-creator Berlanti has assured fans the show will go on with another actress as Kate Kane and her crime-fighting alter ego.
