Amid wedding hold-up caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the former 'Modern Family' star vows that her love for her fiance is 'at least one thing that will never change.'

AceShowbiz - Actress Sarah Hyland has joked about ditching plans for a lavish wedding in favor of a simple city hall ceremony.

The "Modern Family" star is engaged to reality TV personality Wells Adams, and as she celebrated his 36th birthday online on Saturday, May 16, she floated the idea of exchanging vows in a low-key bash after having to put plans for their big day on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"Happy Birthday to my future husband," she captioned a trio of shots of the loved-up couple.

"2020 has not gone the way we thought it would but my love for you is at least one thing that will never change."

"Thank you for your laugh, your jokes, your sunshine. I'm so grateful to have spent another year around the sun with you. You're a dream come true and my true north."

Hyland, 29, then teased, "Who knows? Maybe we'll get married at city hall and use this picture as our announcement... I love you more than words can say. To Pluto and Back Baby. Happy Birthday."

The couple, which began dating in 2017, became engaged last summer (2019).
