Before giving himself a quarantine makeover, James Middleton tells his fans and followers that Alizee Thevenet has never seen him without a beard and jokes he is worried his dogs won't recognized him.

AceShowbiz - Kate Middleton's younger brother has added his name to the list of famous people giving themselves major makeover while in coronavirus quarantine. One day after the Mother's Day weekend, James Middleton shared with the world that he treated his fiancee to a sweet surprise by shaving off his beard for the first time in seven years.

Documenting the moment in an Instagram video posted on Monday, May 10, the 33-year-old businessman admitted in the introduction that his French financial analyst fiancee, Alizee Thevenet, has never seen him without a beard. "So I thought it was about time I showed her what was behind it," he added.

Sitting shirtless surrounded by his dogs, James went on to joke that he was most worried that his four-legged friends might not recognize him afterwards. After telling the camera to "Say goodbye!", he showed off his meticulous process in getting rid all of his facial hair, and revealed a clean-shaven face.

James then picked up his camera in search of Alizee. As he got closer to where his 29-year-old fiancee and his parents Carole and Michael were sitting, a squeal of joy could be heard coming from her. "Oh my god," she exclaimed as she approached him. She later admitted, "It's so weird. Even when I kiss you it's different!" James ended his video with a photo of her kissing his bare cheek.

James and Alizee got engaged in the autumn of 2019. He proposed to her with a sapphire ring while they were in the Lake District. When sharing the happy news, he posted a photo of them smiling brightly with a note that read, "She said OUI. Our secret is out but we couldn't be happier to share the news."

While James opted to shave off his facial hair, a number of Hollywood celebrities went to grow mustache during the COVID-19 lockdown. Mark Consuelos and Ben Higgins were some of those showing off their new look in April. Mark, in particular, debuted his facial hair when helping his wife co-host an virtual edition of "Live with Kelly and Ryan".

Ben, on the other hand, was seen sporting the facial hair in a number of Instagram posts before he offered fans a close-up look in late April. Along with it, "The Bachelor" alum encouraged others to roast him, "Everyone is frustrated to some level right now. Take it out on me. Here is your moment. Shoot your shot."

"I grew a mustache for you and for this moment," he continued explaining. "Let the anger out. Trust me it's ok I can take it! I am happy to release some tension that you may have built up. The mustache is here to stay until it is wise for us to step back into a public space."
