The former professional wrestler gets into trouble with the police in San Antonio after a woman came forward with accusations that he beat and sexually assaulted her in addition to threatening her child.

AceShowbiz - Former WWE champion Alberto Del Rio has experienced a run-in with the law. Over the Mother's Day weekend, the Mexican-American professional wrestler got arrested in San Antonio, Texas and is facing a second degree felony after he was accused of brutally beating and sexually assaulting a woman.

A report by Fox San Antonio uncovered that the woman offered police photo evidence of her injuries. Her affidavit also provided graphic detail of the most recent incident that allegedly took place on May 3. To investigators, she claimed that the 42-year-old became angry when she denied his accusations of her cheating on him.

The woman alleged that Del Rio slapped her multiple times because of her denial. She further noted that he forced her to "put on a dress and dance for him". When she once again refused, he threatened her that he would "would take her son and drop him in the middle of the road somewhere."

The mixed martial artist, whose real name is Jose A. Rodriguez Chucuan, was further accused of tying the woman's hands using boxing straps and stuffed her mouth with a sock before sexually assaulting her for hours. According to her affidavit, he punched her in the back during the assault. Police acknowledged that she has visible injuries that corroborate with her accounts.

Del Rio has since been taken into custody at the Bexar County Sheriff's Office. He is charged with sexual assault, and has a bond set at $50,000. It was reported that he got released from jail at around 3:30 A.M. on Sunday, May 10, after posting the bond.

This was not the first time Del Rio got entangled in an alleged domestic violence incident. Back in 2017, TMZ reported that Orlando police has responded to a claim that the wrestler manhandled a female companion at a Florida airport. No charges were filed at the time, but one witness claimed, "There was an altercation."

The report suggested that the victim might be his then-fiancee Paige, but the two-time Divas Champion was quick to offer some clarification. "WE got the cops involved. I'm crying cuz I found out bad fam news & a lady tries take a pic," she tweeted. "She gets angry throws a drink on [Del Rio]." She added in a separate tweet, "Please leave us alone. That's it."
