AceShowbiz - Sandra Bullock has treated the world to a rare glimpse of her daughter. On Friday, May 8, the "Ocean's 8" star made a surprise appearance on Jada Pinkett Smith's Facebook Watch show "Red Table Talk" to thank a nurse fighting the novel coronavirus pandemic, and she used the chance to introduce 8-year-old Laila.

Sandra initially joined Jada to honor nurse manager April Buencamino for her work on the COVID-19 unit at the Adventist Health White Memorial hospital in Los Angeles ahead of Mother's Day. Near the end of her appearance, the 55-year-old told those present in the virtual chat she had "someone here that wants to say something to April" before bringing Laila into view.

After greetings the other ladies, Laila looked to the camera and said, "Thank you April for doing everything for everyone." With her mother's guidance, the shy 8-year-old added, "Stay safe and your family." Her proud mother then took over to share, "She's our world superhero. She's the one who'll save the world in our family, so she's ready. She's ready to join you out there April in a few years!"

Before Laila came to say thanks, Sandra extended her gratitude to April. "April, thank you for - I'm gonna try and say this without crying - thank you for everything that you're doing because we get to sit here and be home with our families because you are out there doing the hard, hard, hard work," she started.

"There's not a dinner and a grace [that] can go by without us sending you the love and the appreciation and the gratitude that we as a family have because we are safe and I thank you so much," the "Bird Box" actress continued on sharing her appreciation.

Relating to April as a mother, Sandra added, "I know you're scared - I know you're scared on so many levels and the fact that you were born with that extra gift to go out and do the good work, I bow down to you. To your family, I say thank you for allowing you to leave the home." She concluded by saying, "We're just so very grateful for you and everyone that does what you do."

One month earlier, Sandra made a donation to April's White Memorial hospital. Along with her photographer boyfriend Bryan Randall, she delivered 6,000 N95 respirator masks to help the nurses with their works amid the coronavirus pandemic. In an Instagram post by Bryan, it was revealed that the idea came from Sandra's children, Laila and 10-year-old Louis.

Aside from treating April to a surprise chat with Sandra, Jada revealed during the Mother's Day episode of "Red Table Talk" that she, her daughter Willow Smith and her mother Adrienne Banfield Norris will be donating $50,000 to White Memorial hospital. They will also pay for her family vacation of her choice when the pandemic has finally died down.
