The Duke of Sussex has reportedly sold his handmade hunting rifles after abandoning his favorite pastime following his marriage to the animal-loving actress Meghan.

AceShowbiz - Prince Harry reportedly sold his handmade hunting rifles for $61,800 before moving to America with his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

The British royal was once a major hunting enthusiast, but has reportedly given up blood sports due to his animal-loving wife.

And a friend of the buyer of the bespoke Purdey hunting rifles tells Britain's Daily Mail newspaper that the Prince sold off his prized guns last year 2019.

"He bought them because he wanted them, not because they belonged to Harry, but he was quite chuffed when he found out," the insider reveals. "They are beautiful examples and he's very pleased with them but he's not the sort of person who wants to boast about the royal connection."

Famed primatologist and friend of the couple Jane Goodall recently revealed that she believes Harry, who has campaigned against illegal poaching, will give up hunting altogether due to his wife's objections.

Speaking to U.K. magazine the Radio Times, she said, "I think Harry will stop because Meghan doesn't like hunting, so I suspect that is over for him."

Hunting has long been a favoured pastime of British royals, who regularly attend shoots on the family's estates.
