The 'Power' creator also touches his beef with the popular daytime talk show host in his new book titled 'Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter', which hit the book shelves late April.

AceShowbiz - 50 Cent is addressing his feud with Oprah Winfrey in a new interview. Speaking to The Guardian, the "In Da Club" rapper revealed that during his rise to stardom, he wanted to further solidify himself by making an appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show", only to get rejected by the talk show host.

"She was completely against everything that was in my music," he shared. "So she ain't never going to have me on that show. I'm never going to reach that platform, which is confirmation of you being a huge success. So I just said, 'OK, if we can't be friends, then at least let's be enemies.' "

That led the rapper to berating Oprah's fanbase and even naming one of his dogs "Oprah". The two eventually squashed their beef but that didn't mean 50 would change his views on his "misogynistic" lyrics. "Well, no. Did you hear what I said? They are misogynistic, but the world is not under the same circumstances," Fiddy explained.

"Are you going to tell a painter what to paint? I'm an artist. Why am I limited to what you feel should be said? In film and television, they will show art imitates life. Are you not aware of those situations taking place?" he continued.

Additionally, the rapper and actor said that Oprah never tried to understand his perspective. "She never asked me the question in the way you did," so Fiddy added. "The truth is, all things come from your experience. Like, I got shot nine times and I wrote music about it. Everyone writes something that can connect in a big way based on a painful moment, so you're saying we're not supposed to articulate or write it the way we experienced?"

The new interview is coming fresh off the release of his new book, "Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter", which hit the book shelves late April. In the book, the "Power" creator also touched his beef with Oprah, explaining that he uses it to outsmart his environment to become the person he is today.
