Because of the travel restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the former Destiny's Child member and the 'Everything I Own' singer will be moved into the role of mentors.

AceShowbiz - Kelly Rowland and Boy George will reportedly be temporarily replaced on "The Voice Australia" during the COVID-19 crisis.

The new season of the popular TV singing contest is set to premiere on 24 May and, according to NW magazine, the program's two international coaches will be temporarily replaced by local stars due to travel restrictions.

The pair, who have appeared on the show since 2017, will apparently be replaced as judges temporarily by Jessica Mauboy and Conrad Sewell - although the former Destiny's Child star and Culture Club frontman have apparently been remotely checking in on contestants from their respective homes.

"(They) will move into a mentor role from the U.S. and U.K. on Zoom," a source explained, suggesting they'll use the video conference app to engage with participants.

Singers Delta Goodrem and Guy Sebastian will both return as coaches, while the show will welcome two new hosts - Darren McMullen and Renee Bargh - who will take over from Sonia Kruger as she prepares to front the forthcoming revamped season of "Big Brother" on the local Channel Seven.
