Making history at the age of 85, the 'Victoria and Abdul' star has teamed up with photographer Nick Knight for the publication's June issue before the coronavirus lockdown was imposed.

AceShowbiz - Dame Judi Dench has made history as the oldest star to grace the cover of Vogue at the age of 85.

The veteran actress was photographed by Nick Knight for the June cover of the British edition of the publication before the coronavirus lockdown kicked in. The shoot also marks Dench's first cover for the iconic magazine.

In the accompanying feature, Dench reveals how she's been spending her time during the pandemic.

"I haven't got my family with me, but we are keeping in touch lots by phone calls and FaceTime," she says of life indoors. "I am disciplining myself to learn all the (Shakespeare) sonnets. I try to learn something new every day, anything."

Meanwhile, all the time to herself has allowed Dame Judi to mull over her role as Old Deuteronomy in Christmas movie flop "Cats", and she tells Vogue she was unhappy with her character in the movie musical.

"The cloak I was made to wear (was) like five foxes f**king on my back," she tells the magazine. "(I looked like) a battered, mangy old cat. A great big orange bruiser. What's that about?"
