Depp's longtime friend Josh Richman also says in a deposition that the 'Aquaman' actress 'emotionally abused and tormented' the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor during their marriage.

AceShowbiz - Johnny Depp's pal has shared more details of his tumultuous relationship with his ex-wife Amber Heard. In a deposition on the actor's defamation case against the actress, Josh Richman, who claims to have been friends with the 56-year-old Hollywood star for approximately 33 years, claims that Depp told him Heard once faked a bloody nose with red nail polish.

"…certainly I knew from Johnny that prior to the wedding that on a night they had an argument, Johnny recounted to me, Amber went into the bathroom, and came out with a Kleenex with red on it, saying he had given her a bloody nose. But after the incident, he retrieved the Kleenex, which he says he still has to this day," Richman says in the legal documents obtained by The Blast. He goes making the shocking allegation, "Amber had placed red nail polish on the Kleenex."

Describing the incident as one of the things that raised "my and his other friends' concern," Richman says he and Depp's "actual friends" were not happy that the "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald" star was marrying Heard and they "discussed it openly." Richman says he and Depp's other friend believe that the actor "was more than coerced and shamed into proceeding with Amber's demand to be married before Johnny was to depart shortly to film abroad."

Richman additionally says he and Depp's friends think that Heard "emotionally abused and tormented Johnny, cut him away from his real friends, and was emotionally cruel to him." He adds of his pal, "He always seemed to live in fear of how she would act if he ever tried to break up with her. His family, friends, and I always felt he succumbed to Amber's demand that he marry her for this reason among others like it."

Depp is suing Heard for defamation after she wrote a 2018 Washington Post article in which she opened up about being a victim of domestic abuse, alluding that he was violent towards her. He is seeking $50 million in damages.

Depp's "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" co-star Javier Bardem and his wife Penelope Cruz have also testified in favor of the Hollywood Vampires rocker. In his declaration, Bardem said his friend was a victim of "lies" made by "toxic beings."
