A lawyer for the husband of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' star Teresa Giudice says his client is 'very positive about life' despite still not being allowed to return to the states.

AceShowbiz - The result of Joe Giudice's latest deportation appeal is here, much to his dismay. On Wednesday, April 27, it's revealed that Teresa Giudice's husband has lost his third deportation appeal, meaning he has to stay in Italy and remain separated from his children for a little longer.
Speaking of the result, Joe's attorney James J. Leonard says in a statement, "We have always maintained that Joe Giudice belongs in the United States with his family, not in Italy." He adds, "The immigration laws in our country are both draconian and antiquated and need to be revisited by forward thinking members of Congress."
James, however, says that his client is "very positive about life." He dishes on the former reality TV star's life in his home country, "He's in Italy doing everything he can to keep busy, and stay healthy. I know he's working on some projects that I'm sure you will hear about soon. For now, it's day at a time like everyone else."
As to whether Joe will appeal the decision again, James explains, "That will be discussed with Joe and his immigration counsel in the coming days."
The decision comes months after Joe returned to Italy following his 41-month prison sentence on wire fraud and bankruptcy fraud charges. In his ruling, the presiding judge said that the 47-year-old committed an aggravated felony which provides grounds for deportation. Joe's lawyer argued "that because his loans were later forgiven, there was no loss," but the court was "not persuaded." Joe's appeal was also denied his appeal on two technicality arguments.
Following Joe's return to Italy, he confirmed in December 2019 that he and Teresa had separated after 20 years of marriage. "It's time to let go," he wrote on Instagram along with a side-by-side photo of him and his estranged wife. The ex-couple, however, reportedly had no plan for divorce at the time.
