The "I Love Me" songstress and her new boyfriend have been caught in rumors that they might get engaged after the coronavirus pandemic dies down, but new report clarified that they were too early in their relationship to be thinking about betrothal.

Setting the record straight, a source told E! News, "The engagement rumors are not true." The source further stressed, "It's still early in the relationship and Demi and Max are enjoying just getting to know each other." Demi and Max went Instagram official in late March after she made an accidental cameo in his livestream.

Though so, another source acknowledged that Max "is very much in love with Demi and is infatuated with her." The source additionally mentioned to the outlet, "Max has basically already moved into Demi's house and everything has been going really well. They are always joking and laughing all day long, keeping each other entertained."

Offering details of how the "Camp Rock" star and her "The Young and the Restless" actor beau spent their time together amid the COVID-19 crisis, a separate insider spilled, "This time has been very special because they have been one on one with no distractions or stress from outside life. They've really gotten to know each other on a different level."

The so-called inside source went on to share, "She is feeling great and loves being with him. He supports her sobriety and is very understanding. It's going great and they both see it moving in a serious direction. She has loved having him at her house and trying out living together. So far, it's working very well."

Rumors of the new couple's engagement were first brought up by Us Weekly. The publication at the time quoted a source as saying, "Max plans to propose to Demi after this whole pandemic is resolved and their families wouldn't be surprised by the proposal. They think they make a great couple." It added that another source claimed the pair have been "getting really serious" as they self-isolate together.
