The 'Un-Break My Heart' singer and the Cash Money Records co-founder have gone back and forth on wedding dates and whether they would have a big wedding or a small event, but are sure that it's going to happen in 2020.

AceShowbiz - Toni Braxton and Birdman are not letting coronavirus pandemic hamper their plan to make their union official. In a new radio interview on Thursday, April 9, the "Un-Break My Heart" singer revealed that she and the Cash Money Records co-founder would "definitely" get married this year.

When talking to radio presenters Rick Party and Sasha The Diva on "Rick and Sasha Morning Show", the 52-year-old spilled, "We've been trying to figure it out, but we are definitely gonna do it this year." She added, "We have been going back and forth on wedding dates. We had a great date but then it was getting too big, we didn't want a big wedding."

"Then we said, 'OK, we don't want it too small.' Then he said, 'OK, let's do the drive through.' I'm like, 'We are not doing a drive through. I'm not ordering fries after we get married, babe,' " the "She Wasn't Man Enough" songstress further recounted on the discussion she and her fiance had over their wedding, prompting the hosts to laugh at the story.

Braxton and Birdman began dating in May 2016. Two years later, the lovebird announced their engagement. They split in early 2019, only to reconcile within weeks. In late January that year, he even gave her a sweet surprise during her concert at the Fox Theater in Atlanta by showing up onstage when she sang "I Love Me Some Him".

Though he remained mum over their wedding planning, Birdman did praise his bride-to-be during a 2018 appearance on "The Wendy Williams Show". At the time, he told host Wendy Williams, "T, that's my girl, my friend, my family. That's my love, my soldier, my life. She's my everything. She's my life. I love her to death."

When Williams told him that she was initially doubtful about their love life because he was too "gangster" for her, Birdman replied, "I'm just a gangster, that don't mean nothing. Certified too. What that gotta do with love?"
