In a quarantine video, the Material Girl appears in a dark room as she is mourning three friends who died in a single day during the coronavirus lockdown.

AceShowbiz - Madonna marked the death of three friends in a single day with a bizarre "quarantine diary" video.

The 61-year-old singer took to Instagram on Thursday, April 9, 2020 and shared a video, in which she sat at a typewriter in a dark room.

"Quarantine diary number nine," she said at the start of the footage.

"We can't always have a good day," she added, before launching into a strange, poetic ramble.

"The burning spear makes its way into the core of me and slithers down my leg and I can concentrate on nothing except the idea of a fix, and I wonder what form that will take," the "Like a Virgin" hitmaker said.

"I lost three friends in the past 24 hours," she explained, but didn't confirm if they were all victims of the current coronavirus pandemic sweeping through America.

She saluted dance music executive Orlando Puerta, who died of an upper respiratory infection, her "cousin" and her "security guard's brother."

Madonna previously took to the photo-sharing site on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 to mourn Puerta.

"I loved him," she said. "He was so kind, so lovely and lovable. Just a sweet guy. He went with his heart. We need more people like that. We can't afford to lose people like that."
