The U.K. Prime Minister has finally been transferred out of the Intensive Care Unit in a London hospital as he continues his battle with Covid-19 amid the global pandemic.

AceShowbiz - British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is in "extremely good spirits" after he was moved out of intensive care as he continues to battle Covid-19 in a London hospital.

The U.K. leader checked into St. Thomas' Hospital on Sunday, April 5, 2020 as his coronavirus symptoms began to worsen, and was transferred to the intensive care unit on Monday.

However, Johnson appears to be making good progress in his fight against the disease.

On Thursday, a 10 Downing Street spokesman released a statement which read, "The Prime Minister has been moved this evening from intensive care back to the ward, where he will receive close monitoring during the early phase of his recovery."

"He is in extremely good spirits."

Johnson announced he had been diagnosed with Covid-19 in late March 2020.

Last weekend, April 4, 2020, his pregnant fiancee, Carrie Symonds, revealed she had also been suffering from coronavirus symptoms, but was feeling better after resting at home.
