During the livestreaming, the 42-year-musician paid tribute to Bill Withers, who passed away at 81 from heart complications on March 31. The "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" hitmaker recalled his experience meeting and knowing the late musician while roasting himself in the process.

"For as long as I have been a fan of his or knew him personally, I never saw the man compromise on his principles. Ever," John said. "And that's just more to take. That's just more to take. Whether he was speaking to you or speaking to an interviewer 15 years ago, 14, 13 years ago, everything he said is useful. Four percent of the things that I say are useful. One hundred percent of the things he said were useful."

The last remark seemingly piqued Jennifer's interest as she immediately jumped into the comment section to share her opinion. The "Friends" alum left three crying and laughing emojis.

Fans were loving her reaction as one questioned, "Why she do him like that." Another fan replied, "Never miss an opportunity to roast." One other was surprised to even see "The Morning Show" actress was tuning into his livestreaming, writing, "Omg Jen is here."

Jennifer and John dated back in 2008 and briefly reconciled in 2009 only to break up again. "They had some disagreements and decided to not continue to see each other," a source revealed to PEOPLE in March 2009. "Jen is moving on with her life like she always does. She seems happy."

Jennifer previously talked about their past romance in an interview with Vogue back in December 2008. "He had to put that out there that he broke up with me," she said of remarks that John made after their split. "And especially because it's me. It's not just some girl he's dating. I get it. We're human. But I feel seriously protective of him and us."

"Trust me, you'll never see that happen again from that man. And it doesn't take away from the fact that he is a wonderful guy. We care about each other.
