In a now-deleted post on the blue bird app, Adam Housley alludes that 8.5 million people in the country have AIDS or TB and that the government may not be able to handle coronavirus pandemic.

AceShowbiz - Tamera Mowry's husband Adam Housley has landed in hot water. The Fox News journalist recently angered people with his tweet that contained misleading information about South Africa.

In a now-deleted post on the blue bird app, Adam alluded that 8.5 million people in the country have AIDS or Tuberculosis. He wrote on Wednesday, April 1, "Tonight I have learned that 1 million body bags have been delivered to South Africa. It's estimated that nearly 8.5 million people have AIDS or TB in the country and they are very worried about whats coming with coronavirus."

He continued saying in a separate tweet, "That's more than 20% of the population. 71,000 died of AIDS related illness in 2018. 124,000 died of TB in South Africa in 2016. You can see....it won't take much to make those numbers explode. There is worry ther government can't come close to handling the situation."

His tweets didn't sit well with some folks. While South Africa has been fighting the spread of HIV for years, the number in Adam's tweets doesn't reflect the truth. Many thought that Adam appeared to blame the black government and the situation might be different if it was under white government.

"Wrong delivery. We ordered grocery bags cause we are busy shopping and drinking water. Otherwise... SA death toll 5. US death toll 2000. Don't worry, the delivery has been sent back. Coming to the right address soon," one person clapped back at Adam. "Adam, South Africa has had 5 deaths thus far. If any country needs those body bags it's yours. Leave us alone and focus on your own corona virus mess," one other added.

Another follower remarked, "Delete this. 5 people have died. There are far more in the U.S." Responding to the tweet, one other wrote, "There death rate is literally 1000 more than ours buy ai they can never comprehend that our country is handling this pandemic better than they ever could."
