The alleged Coronavirus prediction also appeared in an episode of the show's spin-off 'Young Sheldon' as Sheldon is seen watching news on TV about a flu virus that's originating from China.

AceShowbiz - People are freaking out after finding out that an old episode of "The Big Bang Theory" might have predicted the existence of Coronavirus. The popular sitcom previously aired an episode which saw Sheldon Cooper being admitted to hospital because he had been exposed to something that was believed to be Coronavirus.

In a video that circulated online, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) could be seen stopping Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar) from joining him during lunch because he was sneezing. Elsewhere in the video, he was seen at a hospital before going inside a room where an apparent patient with an infectious diseases was being isolated.

When he was about to go out, the paramedic surrounding the patient stopped him from going because he "has been exposed." That led him to stay at the hospital. His friends were wearing hazmat suit and full-body protection while visiting him.

The alleged Coronavirus prediction also appeared in an episode of the show's spin-off "Young Sheldon". Young Sheldon (Iain Armitage), who claimed to be germaphobe, packed his things up and was ready to leave the class after his teacher sneezed right in front of everyone. "Where do you think you are going?" the teacher asked, to which Sheldon replied while covering his mouth and nose with his arm, "away from you." The teacher continued, "Why is that?" and Shelton told her it was because he wanted to live.

Later, he was seen watching news on TV about a flu virus that was originating from China. "Children and the elderly are almost at risk," said the news anchor.

This is similar to COVID-19 that put the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions at the higher risk. Research is showing that adults at the age of 60 and older, especially with heart disease, lung disease, diabetes or cancer are more likely to have severe coronavirus infection than other age groups. Some cases even lead to death.
