Recovering from Covid-19, the Canadian Prime Minister's wife Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau offers her gratitude to everyone who reached out to her with their well wishes.

AceShowbiz - Justin Trudeau's wife Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau has recovered from coronavirus.

It was confirmed the wife of the Canadian Prime Minister has tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this month, with a statement tweeted by Trudeau's communications director reading, "She is feeling well, is taking all the recommended precautions and her symptoms remain mild... The Prime Minister is in good health with no symptoms."

On Saturday, March 28, Sophie shared a statement on her Facebook page that she is feeling "much better," after testing positive for the virus back on March 12.

"I am feeling so much better and have received the all clear from my physician and Ottawa Public Health," she penned. "From the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you to everyone who reached out to me with their well wishes. And to everyone who is suffering right now, I send you all my love."

Sophie and Justin have been self-isolating at their home in Canada after she first developed flu-like symptoms after returning from a trip to the U.K.

Justin and their three kids have not shown any symptoms and did not get tested.

Canada has seen more than 5,616 cases of coronavirus confirmed across the country, resulting in 61 deaths. The global total sees more than 723,600 registered cases of Covid-19 with over 34,000 deaths worldwide.
