The former star of 'The O.C.', who is currently dating 'Saturday Night Live' comedian Bill Hader, issues the statement after a magazine writer said their split 'basically ruined high school for us.'

AceShowbiz - Rachel Bilson has apologised to fans of "The O.C." who are still heartbroken over her 2006 breakup with Adam Brody.
The pair dated from 2003 to 2006, after meeting on the set of the popular teen drama TV series, but after a writer at InStyle magazine said the couples split "basically ruined high school for us", the star took to Instagram to address the breakup.
After the publication shared the sentiments on its Instagram page, Bilson, 38, commented: "I'M SORRY!"
The actress is currently dating "Saturday Night Live" funnyman Bill Hader", although there doesn't appear to be any bad blood between her and Brody, 40, as the "Hart of Dixie" star added: "He fared really well."
The exes continued to star in the hit Fox show until 2007, following their split
Brody went on to marry "Gossip Girl" actress Leighton Meester in 2014, and they welcomed their daughter Arlo in 2015.
