The 'A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood' actor and his wife appear to be in good spirits when photographed driving in Los Angeles, after spending two weeks in quarantine Down Under.

AceShowbiz - Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have returned to the U.S., two weeks after they were both diagnosed with coronavirus. The couple was spotted driving around in Los Angeles on Friday, March 27, with the Academy Award-winning actor behind the wheel and his wife sitting in the passenger seat.

Tom and Rita appeared to be in good spirits as they were all smiles during the outing. The "Sully" star wore a gray T-shirt and a baseball cap with sunglasses, while the "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" producer sported lensed glasses.

Tom announced he and Rita, both 63 years old, had tested positive for coronavirus on March 11 while in Australia. They were in the country as the actor was preparing for the production of Baz Luhrmann's untitled Elvis Presley film.

"Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too," he confirmed their diagnosis in an Instagram post. "To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive."

In the wake of Tom's diagnosis, Warner Bros. announced that it "worked closely with the appropriate Australian health agencies to identify and contact anyone who may have come in direct contact with the individual." The company added, "We are taking precautions to protect everyone who works on our productions around the world. The individual who tested positive for COVID-19 is currently receiving treatment."

The couple continued to share updates from their quarantine Down Under and on March 22, Tom told his fans on Twitter that they're feeling better. "Hey, folks. Two weeks after our first symptoms and we feel better," he wrote. "Sheltering in places work like this: You don't give it to anyone - You don't get it from anyone. Common sense, no? Going to take awhile (sic), but if we take care of each other, help where we can, and give up some comforts...this, too, shall pass. We can figure this out. Hanx."
