The rock band's frontman has been reportedly hospitalized for symptoms including a high fever and pneumonia, but a representative insists that he tested negative for COVID-19.

AceShowbiz - A spokesperson for German rockers Rammstein has cleared up reports about frontman Till Lindemann's ill health, insisting he is not battling COVID-19.

Reports surfaced earlier on Friday, March 27 suggesting the singer had tested positive for the novel coronavirus after returning to Berlin from a March 15 show in Moscow, Russia.

He was said to have been listed in critical condition at a local hospital, where he was initially treated for symptoms including a high fever and pneumonia, before stabilising while under quarantine, according to local paper Bild.

However, hours after the news hit headlines, a band representative issued a statement via the group's Facebook page, insisting that while Lindemann had been hospitalised, he was not diagnosed with COVID-19.

The statement read: "Yesterday evening Till Lindemann was admitted to a hospital on the band's doctor's advice."

"He spent the night in intensive care but has been moved as he is feeling better. Till has tested negative for the coronavirus."

The spokesperson stopped short of sharing specific details about the 57-year-old's illness.
