Liverpool Musician Cy Tucker Died After Suffering From Coronavirus

The singer, who once performed with The Beatles and was treated at the Royal Liverpool Hospital, has become the first person to pass away from COVID-19 in the U.K. city.

AceShowbiz - One-time The Beatles singer Cy Tucker has become the first person to die from coronavirus in Liverpool, England.

The 76 year old, who suffered heart issues and diabetes, passed away at the Royal Liverpool Hospital on Monday, March 23, two days after his final gig, according to the Liverpool Echo.

"As a family we are devastated at the sudden loss of our husband, father-in-law, grandad, brother and friend who touched so many lives through music," a family statement to the newspaper reads.

"To the city of Liverpool he was Cy Tucker, but to us he was our world. He forever doted on his family, especially his wife, children and grandchildren, who he always showered with affection."

Tucker performed with the Fab Four at the beginning of their career.
