The 'Follow God' rapper's wife defends herself and her husband after the 'Lover' singer insinuated that the couple manipulated the phone call, accusing Taylor of lying about Kanye never calling to ask for permission.

AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian has fired back at Taylor Swift after the latter spoke up on the leaked phone call between her and Kanye West. Defending herself and her husband after receiving backlash for discrediting the country-turned-pop superstar in the past, the reality TV star accused the 30-year-old singer of being selfish with her response to the matter.
"@taylorswift13 has chosen to reignite an old exchange - that at this point in time feels very self-serving given the suffering millions of real victims are facing right now," she began her series of tweets on Monday, March 23. Saying that she held back from addressing the matter, the mother of three claimed she's "actually really embarrassed and mortified to be doing it right now, but because she continues to speak on it, I feel I'm left without a choice but to respond because she is actually lying."
Kim further accused Taylor of lying about Kanye never asking for her permission before releasing his song "Famous" that featured references about Taylor. "To be clear, the only issue I ever had around the situation was that Taylor lied through her publicist who stated that 'Kanye never called to ask for permission...' They clearly spoke so I let you all see that. Nobody ever denied the word 'b***h' was used without her permission," she insisted.
The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star went on stressing that she never manipulated the phone call as Taylor suggested. "I never edited the footage (another lie) - I only posted a few clips on Snapchat to make my point and the full video that recently leaked doesn’t change the narrative," she wrote.
On Taylor's claim that the phone call was illegally recorded, Kim insisted, "Kanye as an artist has every right to document his musical journey and process, just like she recently did through her documentary." She added that "the call between the two of them would have remained private or would have gone in the trash had she not lied & forced me to defend him."
Kim's sister Khloe Kardashian has also weighed in on the reignited feud, tweeting, "I was about to go take my a** to sleep but then I just saw my sister post a couple tweets... Kim is my f**king lawyer for life!!!!!! My sister AND my lawyer."
Kim's tweets were in response to Taylor's Instagram Story posts in which the latter stated, "Instead of answering those who are asking how I feel about the video footage that leaked proving that I was telling the truth the whole time about *that call* (you know, the one that was illegally recoded that somebody edited, and manipulated in order to frame me and put me, my family, and fans through hell for 4 years)," she asked her fans to focus on "what really matters." She then urged her followers to donate to Feeding America.
