Having portrayed Superman's girlfriend opposite Henry Cavill in three movies, the 'Justice League' actress claims that the studio is 'moving in a different direction.'

AceShowbiz - Amy Adams fears she'll never play Superman's girlfriend, Lois Lane, again.

The actress, who has portrayed the journalist in three movies opposite Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel, insists she's game to reprise the role but she doesn't think movie bosses want her.

"I would totally be open to playing Lois but I think (the studio is) moving in a different direction, from what I understand," she tells Empire.

And she thinks her comic book movie capabilities might die with 2017's "Justice League", because she's no Wonder Woman like castmate Gal Gadot.

"Gal Gadot is one of my favourite women," Amy adds. "She is a Wonder Woman. Sorry, I'm a bit of a dork."

Meanwhile, Cavill has made it clear he's not ready to give up Superman's cape just yet, recently stating, "I've not given up the role. There's a lot I have to give to Superman yet. A lot of storytelling to do. A lot of real, true depths to the honesty of the character I want to get into. I want to reflect the comic books. That's important to me. There's a lot of justice to be done for Superman."
