With the shutting down of school across the nation due to coronavirus pandemic, many families lose the means to access daily hot meals and are struggling to feed their children.

AceShowbiz - Bosses at social networking site TikTok have donated $3 million (£2.5 million) to Arnold Schwarzenegger's charity to help kids in the U.S. affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Most of America's school systems have shut down, leaving poorer families struggling to feed their children now they have lost the means to access daily hot meals.
Now TikTok chiefs have pitched in with the large gift to the former California Governor's After-School All-Stars non-profit. The big fuel injection will be used to deliver food and gift cards for grocery stores to needy families, and Arnold is thrilled to be helping make a difference at such a difficult time.
"Because of the corona crisis, those kids have been sent home," the "Terminator" star shares in a video on TikTok. "So now, instead of providing after-school programmes, we thought it would be cool and great if we could provide food for those families. But, of course, you can have the best ideas in the world but if you don't have the money you have nothing (sic)... TikTok came along and said, 'We are the ones that are going to donate the millions of dollars to help feed those families.' "
The scheme will be rolled out in 60 cities, including Los Angeles, New York City, Miami and Seattle, with help from bosses at major grocery companies including Food Land, Kroger, Ralphs, Safeway, Walmart and Target.
