Set to launch his brand new album on March 20, the 'Mi Gente' singer asks his devotees if he should postpone its release as people around the world deal with the ongoing spread of coronavirus.

AceShowbiz - Colombian star J Balvin has proposed postponing the upcoming release of his new album in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.

The "Mi Gente" singer is set to launch "Colores" next Friday (March 20), but he appears to be having second thoughts about sharing the project at a time when so many people are more concerned about the health and safety of themselves and their loved ones than the release of any new music.

Turning to fans for their input on Thursday night, Balvin posted a question in Spanish on social media, which roughly translates to, "My people, should we stop the release of 'Colores' on March 20th or should we go out and give colour in this grey moment?"

Many insisted he should stick to the release date, arguing that music brings joy and happiness during tough times - especially when people around the world are facing possible quarantine in a bid to halt the spread of the COVID-19 disease.

Label bosses at Universal Music are still currently preparing to drop the new material next week.
