Willow Smith's Head Shaved by Boyfriend During 24-Hour Anxiety-Themed Exhibit

The performance dubbed The Anxiety, which commenced on Wednesday morning, March 11, sees the daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith as well as her beau exploring different emotions relating to anxiety.

AceShowbiz - Willow Smith is getting a new look when she comes out after being trapped in a glass box for 24 hours. The 19-year-old singer/actress has got her hair shaved by her boyfriend Tyler Cole during their exhibit The Anxiety at the Museum of Contemporary Art's Geffen Contemporary in Los Angeles, California.

Willow's mother Jada Pinkett Smith, who was there watching her daughter's performance, shared a video of the "Whip My Hair" singer getting the hair makeover. She remained calm as Tyler cut her dreadlocks before he began using clippers.

"@willowsmith at her interactive experience. My baby shaved her head! Again!" 48-year-old Jada said in the video. She additionally captioned it, "The start of the new beginning," with a heart emoji.

After her head was shaved, Willow put on bunny ears while writing messages on the white walls. She also held up a sign that read, "When you practice patience... you are emulating the very spirit of nature."

The exhibit dubbed The Anxiety, which commenced on Wednesday morning, March 11, is described as "a personification of the emotional spectrum within the human mind and through performance art." The performance see Willow and Tyler going through eight stages of anxiety while inside a box.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday, Willow said that she came up with the idea while recording their new album, also dubbed "The Anxiety". "We're on this planet and anything could happen, like the thing that just happened with Kobe (Bryant)? That was really a knife in the heart," she explained. "Every moment is precious. And I think everyone has a fear of just not knowing what's going to happen in the future, not knowing if you're on the right path, not knowing if you're making the right choices."

She went on sharing, "We were like, 'Wouldn't it be so interesting if we could personify this experience? Starting from being scared and feeling alone and moving to a place of acceptance and joy? We understand this is a very sensitive subject. And, we don't want to be like, 'Our experience is the experience' This is just us expressing our personal experience with this."

Willow's album "The Anxiety" will be released immediately after the performance wraps.
