AceShowbiz - Kate Beckinsale refused to be undermined for sharing her experience being verbally abused by Harvey Weinstein. Shortly after coming out with the story, the "Underworld" beauty found herself being accused of "playing victim," but she wasted no time in hitting back at the online troll.

The 46-year-old actress initially recounted her story in celebration of the 23-year-jail sentence given to the movie producer for his rape and sexual assault. "These photos were taken at the premiere of Serendipity on October 5,2001," she began her Wednesday, March 11 post. "We all refused to go because holding a premiere mere weeks after 9/11 with the city still smoking felt like the most insensitive, tone deaf,disrespectful idea possible. But Harvey insisted."

"The minute the door closed he started screaming 'you stupid fu**ing C**T, you C**T you ruined my premiere.' I had no idea what he was talking about and started to shake," the ex-wife of director Len Wiseman continued. Responding to the "Love & Friendship" star's revelation, one Instagram user expressed apparent disapproval in the comment section. "Idk what's worse .. Females playing victim .. Or the Coronavirus," wrote the troll. It prompted the "Van Helsing" actress to fire back, "you. You are worse."

That was not the only mean comments Beckinsale replied back to. When one hater stated, "I would rather hear fro the he poor victims,the real heros who had the guts to testify.Somehow some successful star telling her stories just doesn do it for me," the actress countered by pointing out, "you can have both xx."

"The Widow" star additionally hit back with a statement that read, "Because I was not sexually attacked. This is a different topic which I really believe needs addressing as it is not limited to Harvey. I think you need to re think what actually is disgusting here," after a user said, "I'm a woman and I have been there, but when it happens multiple tone with one person, it's not abuse, it's a negotiation, u give your body to get fame in exchange."
