Upon learning that he will front the long-running sketch show, the actor/director of 'A Quiet Place Part II' comes forward with a confession to his mother about his childhood secret.

AceShowbiz - John Krasinski celebrated the announcement of his upcoming "Saturday Night Live" hosting stint by telling his mum he used to watch the show in secret throughout his childhood.

The actor and director, who will front the long-running sketch show later this month, was not allowed to stay up and watch the programme as a kid - but he never missed an episode.

"I was eight years old when I found an old black and white TV in my parents' basement, I snuck it under my bed and was watching, basically, every 'SNL' from eight to 18 - and I only told my mom this weekend."

"She was like, 'I'm sorry, what?' I was like, 'Yeah, I used to set my alarm to 11.30 and watch from 11.30 to 1(am) and then go back to bed.' "

The "A Quiet Place" star can't wait to walk down "SNL" famous stairs on 28 March and front the show. "To say it's a dream come true is an understatement," he adds.
