The 'Make Me Want To' singer breaks the happy news that his fiancee has given birth to their daughter in a phone interview with Nashville radio hosts Chuck Wicks and Tricia 'T.J.' Jenkins.

AceShowbiz - Country singer Jimmie Allen has become a father to a baby girl.

The "Best Shot" star's fiancee, Alexis Gale, gave birth to little Naomi Betty on Sunday, March 01, and her arrival has given Allen double the reason to celebrate after his latest track, "Make Me Want To", hit the top of America's Mediabase country radio singles chart.

"I thought getting a number one (single) was going to be the best part of my day, but then my daughter, Naomi, was born yesterday," Allen told Nashville, Tennessee radio hosts Chuck Wicks and Tricia 'T.J.' Jenkins in a phone interview on Monday morning.

Naomi's middle name honours Allen's late grandmother, who died in 2014, and the musician reveals she now shares a birth month with some of the most important women in his family.

"My grandma's birthday was actually March 13, my mum's birthday is March 7, and Naomi's birthday is March 1," he shared, before gushing about his wife-to-be as she recovers from childbirth.

"And Lexi is laying right here looking awesome," he added.

Naomi is the couple's first child together, although the singer is already a dad to five-year-old son Aadyn, from a previous relationship.

Allen, 33, won't have much time to enjoy the new addition to his family - he is set to jet off on a tour of Europe and Australia later this week.

"Thursday, we head out of the country for about three-and-a-half weeks," he said.

"(But) it's been a good day, (I'm) definitely thankful for it."

Allen and Gale only began dating in the spring of 2019, and he proposed last July during a trip to Disney World in Florida.
