In the interview, the 38-year-old hotel heiress also talked about her friendship with cosmetics mogul and KKW founder Kim Kardashian, who used to be her assistant and stylist.

AceShowbiz - Paris Hilton gets candid about her past relationship with ex-fiance Chris Zylka. The 38-year-old hotel heir appears to not regret breaking her engagement to Chris back in 2018, and even dubbed it the 'best decision' that she's ever made.

Speaking of the shocking split in an interview with Cosmopolitan UK for its April issue, the blonde starlet explained, "No. It was the best decision I've ever made in my life. I just don't think [he] was the right person."

"I feel like I'm an incredible woman and I deserve someone so amazing," Paris went on saying. "I just didn't feel right. I've worked way too hard to just give my life to someone. They have to be perfect."

The DJ, who dated Chris for two years prior to their split, further said that she was loving her single life cause she didn't want to have "someone controlling me." Paris added dating "certain people" increased the risk of "not trusting them" and implied that if she went away, she fears they'd "do something to embarrass me."

The former couple ended their engagement in November 2018, only ten months after he proposed to her with a $2 million ring. Of their split, a source shared at the time, "No one is shocked and they all knew once she pushed the wedding, that something was definitely up. No one thought a wedding was really going to happen. Paris wants a wedding and children but not necessarily a life with Chris."

In the interview, Paris also talked about her friendship with Kim Kardashian, who used to be her assistant and stylist. "We have conversations about it. She travelled the world with me and we have so many amazing memories. What she's said is, 'I really appreciate everything I've learned from you.' And we just always talk [about] how proud of each other we are because we've known each other since we were little girls," Paris explained.
