The former 'Love Island' host has been found lifeless in London amid accusations that she beat up her boyfriend Lewis Burton in a 'private domestic incident.'

AceShowbiz - British TV presenter Caroline Flack has died at the age of 40.

The star was found in her new east London flat on Saturday, February 15, 2020, following months of turmoil after being charged with assaulting her boyfriend Lewis Burton by beating following a "private domestic incident" at her London home.

Her family confirmed the sad news in a statement, reading, "We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today on the 15th February."

"We would ask that the press both respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time."

On Thursday, Caroline announced she would be breaking her silence on recent reports about her personal life, as she awaited her trial for common assault on March 4.

She wrote, "I'm going to speak today… mine and my family's life is no longer up for entertainment or gossip," however no further post followed.

While the domestic incident led to Flack stepping down from her presenting role on British reality TV series "Love Island", the former "The Xtra Factor" host remained in a relationship with model Lewis, 27, who declared his love for her on Valentine's Day, February 14.

Alongside a sweet snap of the pair, he penned, "Happy valentines (red love heart emoji) Love you (kissing emoji)."

Flack's final post, shared a day before her death, showed her giving her pet dog Ruby a kiss.
