The 'Orange Is the New Black' actress, who starred in 'Crossroads' alongside the singer, receives hate after sharing her concern with Britney's well-being in an Instagram post amid the viral #FreeBritney.

AceShowbiz - Taryn Manning insisted there is no hidden agenda behind her recent Britney Spears post. Facing backlash after expressing her concern over her former "Crossroads" co-star's well-being on social media, the Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Doggett on "Orange Is the New Black" star returned to social media to deny claims that she is being an attention seeker.

On Wednesday, January 12, the 41-year-old actress kicked off her clarification by stating, "Response to media: First off, my apologies to Britney." She continued, "I had no media agenda. Never was I seeking attention, nor press via Britney. The reason why I posted was because many fans of her contact me daily BEGGING me to do something."

"I used to not respond," the Boomkat vocalist admitted. "Then, I started to ask for proof of these allegations they presented. Finally, I posted because it was eating away at me for months. What if there is something wrong? I wanted my post to be about the forgotten ones, hence the sentiment. I did not expect the amount of hate in my inbox though, and I don’t need it in my life, people can be cruel."

Recalling that she and Britney had a blast filming "Crossroad" together, Taryn stressed that she likes the "Toxic" hitmaker. She further shared her wish for the singer. "I want her happy like any decent human would want for another," she said. "The Christian in me sees the Christian in her. You are so very loved."

Taryn voiced her concern for Britney on Tuesday, January 11. At the time, she shared a throwback photo from the set of their 2002 film on Instagram. Along with the now-deleted post, the "8 Mile" actress wrote, "Not trying to get likes I could (couldn't) care less. I am worried about my friend and co-star." She concluded, "she is my focus. loving you."
