This prompted her to become the subject of trolling, given that she isn't affiliated with the ceremony or involved with any of the nominated films, though some people have since come to her defense.

For her appearance at the event taking place at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, the reality TV star showcased her envy-inducing legs in a black velvet dress that featured a high slit, a plunging neck and blue fringe detail. Chyna additionally wore her hair slicked back and completed the look with blue-jeweled earrings.

Her red carpet appearance soon became a hot topic among social media users, with many trolling her in any kind of way. "Ok, but how did Blac Chyna get invited to the Oscars? Cut the cameras deada**," one refused to believe Chyna got an invitation." Referencing Chyna's infamous "Embezzled" meme, another poked fun at her, "Lmao imagine Blac Chyna got a Oscar for her 'EMBEZZLED?!' Performance."

Meanwhile, one other asked, "Is she getting an Oscar for tricking Rob Kardashian into getting pregnant so she has a meal ticket for 18 years." Some others blasted her for her alleged plastic surgery, while one compared her to Squidward from "SpongeBob SquarePants". A different individual wrote, "She looks like a flipping cartoon character! Fortunately for Chyna, there were people who came to her defense. "Seeing so many negative and nasty tweets about Blac Chyna on the TL and most of it is from Bl*ck people," one said. "Y'all love to talk about loving Black Women until it's someone you deem isn't worthy of that courtesy."

Hitting back at one person who claimed Oscars "lost their integrity" due to Chyna's appearance, another said, "Imagine having THIS much power by just simply SHOWING UP Now the whole awards show lost 'integrity' because Blac Chyna is there. Y'all really something else yo." Someone else wrote, "Y'all dragging blac chyna but praising margot Robbie bland a**. Disgraceful," as one individual pointed out to the trolls, "Blac Chyna is one of the top social media influencers that's why she was there."

"People questioning why is Blac Chyna at the Oscars but these influencers are the new stars in my opinion, I don't give a flying f**k what a n***a like Tom Cruise is doing but I will click on something pertaining to Blac Chyna in a heartbeat," another said.
