AceShowbiz - Gia Giudice and Frankie Catania Jr. aren't dating, though their mothers have already given their one hundred per cent approval should they date for real. In an interview with PEOPLE, both Teresa Giudice and her "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" co-star Dolores Catania got candid about their children's relationship.
Talking about their recent meeting, Dolores said, "They were together on Saturday, she went to his school. I got a text from Teresa, 'Is Frankie at school?' I go on friend finder. I see where he is, because I check where he is all of the time." Teresa then added, "Because Gia was going there. I'm like 'Are you seeing Frankie?' "
Dolores and Teresa then let it be known that they would love to see Gia and Frankie's platonic relationship turns romantic eventually, but that time is not right now. "Yes, later. After they gave it all out of their systems. Timing is everything," Dolores said, before Teresa chimed in, "They have to finish school."
Rumors of a love connection between Gia and Frankie swirled back in May 2019 when the latter accompanied Gia to her senior prom. This prompted people to speculate whether or not they were dating, but Dolores was quick to shut down the rumors at the time. "They've been friends since they were little," she said. "They're close friends. I mean, Frankie and Gia don't like to talk to us about their personal business, but Frankie's thing is he says, 'I don't have anything to offer to anybody right now. I have work to do. I can't give someone the attention they deserve.' "
Teresa had also addressed their relationship before, gushing over Frankie, "He is the sweetest, sweetest, sweetest, sweetest kid. I mean, he's amazing. He's such a gentleman to Gia that I hope, you never know what happens down the road."
