Future Hires 'the Best Lawyers' for Oldest Son Following Gang Charges

The 'Turn on the Lights' rapper has reportedly enlisted 'the best lawyers' to defend 17-year-old Jakobi Wilburn after the teen was arrested in a gang bust in Georgia.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Future is reportedly covering his eldest son's legal fees after the 17-year-old was arrested for criminal gang activity last month, January 2020.

Jakobi was arrested in a gang bust in Georgia, where he's also reportedly facing charges of trespass and the altered ID of a firearm. He was allegedly found in possession of a gun with the serial number scratched out.

The teenager faces several years behind bars if he's convicted and, according to TMZ, his "Turn on the Lights" hitmaker dad, real name Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, is funding his defence, and along with his Jakobi's mother, Jessica Smith, have tapped some of the best lawyers to represent him in court.

Smith, told the publication she and Future have been on top of the legal case, as they're actively involved in his life, adding, "Our son is a minor and to protect his well being in this trying situation, we ask that everyone please respect our privacy at this time."
