While the 'Daredevil' alum is 'excited' about what she can create together with her politician boyfriend, she admits that the possibility of being 'asked to serve my country' terrifies her.

AceShowbiz - Rosario Dawson has opened up about the challenging side of dating a high-profile politician. Having been in a relationship with New Jersey senator Cory Booker for a little over a year now, the "Zombieland: Double Tap" actress spilled in a new interview why she found their romance "scary."

Featured in the new issue of Women's Health magazine, the 40-year-old actress pointed out what their romance might entail. "I could be asked to serve my country," she shared, "and that's scary to me because I'm a wild person." Despite the fear, she could not help but look positively at their future, stating, "We are excited about what we can create together."

"I feel a lot of life ahead of us. It's been beautiful feeling nurtured and taken care of," the mother of one, who claimed that she and her beau aim to open community centers in under-served areas, continued. "I've never been this close to someone. We make sure we connect. That's something I've taken for granted in the past."

On how her 50-year-old boyfriend made sure she knows he has her back, the Claire Temple of "Daredevil" series shared, "Every morning that we don't wake up together, he sends me a song, which means every morning he holds our relationship in his mind and his heart for a few minutes before he goes off into his big day."

Rosario and Cory went public as a couple in March 2019. Months later, she opened up about how this relationship felt different to her past romances."For my whole life, I've always felt like, even when I got into a relationship, I was trying to be the center of the storm and everything was just this maelstrom out there," she said. "But for the first time, I feel like I have someone in the centre of the storm with me."

In the joint interview with The Washington Post, Cory claimed to feel exactly the same way. "Look, both of us, you know, we've had relationships," the former Democratic presidential candidate stated. "But I'm not sure if I've ever fully given myself over to a relationship as much as I have with her and allowed myself to be as vulnerable."
