AceShowbiz - David Beador is apparently ready to move past the end of his marriage to Shannon Beador. Nine months after reaching divorce settlement with "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star, the TV personality announced his engagement to much-younger girlfriend Lesley Cook.
The 54-year-old businessman confirmed that he has popped the question to his girlfriend after she showed off her new diamond ring on social media. "Yes, Lesley and I are excited to be engaged," he told PEOPLE. "We are celebrating in Miami and then going to the Super Bowl."
Lesley herself broke the happy news on Thursday night, January 30. Making use of her private Instagram account, the mother of two who is 20 years younger than David shared a selfie of them at what seemed to be the Fontainebleau hotel in Miami Beach. Along with it, she wrote, "Looking forward to eternity with my love. I LOVE YOU LOVE!!!"
Aside from the post, Lesley has also put out a couple of Instagram Stories that flaunted their excitement over the new status. One saw her being hugged from behind by shirtless David with a note that read, "Today, I said YES to the man of my dreams. You complete me!" Another one was a mirror selfie that captured David holding onto Super Bowl's tickets and captioned, "Let's celebrate!"
David began dating Lesley soon after he and Shannon called it quits in 2017 following his cheating confession. After two years of messy divorce, he and Shannon settled their divorce in 2019 with her receiving $1.4 million from the division of community property as well as a $10,000 monthly support payments. They also agreed to joint custody of their daughters, 17-year-old Sophie and 14-year-old twins Stella and Adeline.
Shannon herself has since moved on with boyfriend John Janssen. Back in November 2019, she opened up about her new man during BravCon. "He's just a great person," she gushed. "If I were to make a list of the perfect person for me, he has all those attributes. You see it in movies and you think it's not real. I've never been happier."
