The 'Late Late Show' host admits he was intoxicated by fame and started acting like a brat and 'd**khead' when he first rose to stardom after starring in 'Gavin and Stacey'.

AceShowbiz - James Corden's "Gavin and Stacey co-star Rob Brydon confronted him after he started to "behave like a brat."

"The Late Late Show with James Corden" host, 41, rose to fame when he co-created and starred in the British comedy series from 2007 to 2010, with the actor admitting life in the spotlight went to his head.

"I started to behave like a brat that I just don't think I am," he told The New Yorker. "It's so intoxicating, that first flush of fame. And I think it's even more intoxicating if you're not bred for it."

The star revealed parents prayed for him, and his sisters tried to speak to him about what a "d**khead" he was being, but it was his pal and castmate Brydon who finally got through to him.

"I said, 'Look, this is a bit awkward to say, but I'm just hearing these things about you, and you've got to know that the way you behave has an effect on people,' " the 54-year-old recalled.

The intervention prompted Corden to begin seeing a therapist, who he told he "used to be a better person than this." They advised him to stop partying and force himself to spend more time alone at home, which helped get his life back on track.

The star shares sons Max, eight, and Carey, five, and daughter Charlotte, two, with his wife Julia.
