AceShowbiz - Lauren London seems to be treating herself to a pricey fresh start. Ten months after her partner Nipsey Hussle was shot to death outside his Marathon Clothing store, the actress playing Keira Whitaker on "The Game" was reported to have bought a new house with a price tag of $1.7 million in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, California.
The Spanish-style property acquired by the 35-year-old was originally constructed in 1949, and saw several renovations since then. Spanning around 3,000 square feet, it has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Its master suite boasts a private balcony overlooking the backyard as well as a walk-in closet.
The mansion, which is decorated in neutral colors and features wood interiors, also offers a covered porch, a backyard BBQ with bar-style seating, a swimming pool, a breakfast bar and a family room with a fireplace. Its kitchen is furnished with stainless steel appliances and a whitewashed brick backsplash.
News of London's new residence surfaced one day after she attended the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards on behalf of Nipsey. During the pre-telecast ceremony, she took the stage to accept his posthumous award for Best Rap Performance. Accompanied by the MC's grandmother, Margaret Boutte, she said, "I speak on behalf of our family and in honor of Nip, who was a phenomenal vessel."
The mother of two continued, "Nip did it not just for the awards, but for the people. God allowed him to use this music to speak his truth, give his wisdom and something we will forever be able to live with." Boutte, in the meantime, had nothing but gratitude as saying, "I wanted to thank all of you for showing all the love that I have felt for him all of his life and always will live in my heart."
London began dating Hussle in 2013. She welcomed their only child together, Kross Ermias Asghedom, three years later in 2016. Ever since the "Racks in the Middle" rapper was gunned down in March 2019, she kept a low profile, but frequently paid tribute for her late partner through social media. In December, she released a tribute video for Puma's new campaign called "Forever Strong".
