The "Beautiful People" singer has just shared a cryptic post, hinting that he's still not able to move on from someone from the past who has a special place in his heart.
On late Monday, January 27, the 30-year-old shared a GIF of him coyly smiling during a radio interview with a caption which read, "When someone asks, after all this time... why are u still in love WITH HER? My ANSWER: BECAUSE TIME HAS NO RELEVANCE WHEN ITS UNCONDITIONAL." The post, however, is no longer featured on his account.
While it's not clear whom he was talking about, many social media users quickly pointed out that Chris was referring to Rihanna with "her." One fan guessed, "We know you sill love Rihanna." Another speculated, "Bet you he talking bout Ri." A third user similarly remarked, "Every Real Breezy Fan Knows He Loves Rihanna."
Seemingly supporting the exes' romantic reunion, one person commented, "He might have a chance Rihanna did say on Oprah she'll always love him." Another jokingly reminded him, "Everytime RIRI single he shoots his shot .. boy you JUST had a baby !!"
Some people had stronger reaction, with one writing, "But these girls continue to date him and have his child. Knowing dang well he's obsessed with riri." Another told him, "let it go taurus! Damn." One other fan of Rihanna warned Chris, "He has a whole baby mama and a son. LEAVE HER ALONE!!!" while someone else blasted him for mistreating his former girlfriend, "Why would you hurt 'her' so bad if you love 'her' so much? Sounds toxic asf."
Rihanna recently broke up from Hassan Jameel after dating for more than two years. HollywoodLife.com claimed that the news was "a big deal" for Chris, but the situation is a bit complicated "because he's in such a good place" with his baby mama Ammika. "It's bad timing, to say the least," a source told the site.
"They're trying to see where things could go with them, and throwing Rihanna into the mix is going to end any chance of that working out," the source said of Chris and Ammika's current relationship. Still, "Rihanna is [Chris'] first love," the source added, and that "in a lot of ways, it would be a dream come true for him to get her back."
Rihanna herself has sparked reconciliation rumor with her other ex, A$AP Rocky.
