The ComedyCentral animated sitcom, which is titled 'Legends of Chamberlain Heights', apparently predicted the death of the NBA legend in an episode that aired back in 2016.

AceShowbiz - Kobe Bryant's death in a helicopter crash on Sunday, January 26 shocked everyone, but the folks in ComedyCentral's animated sitcom "Legends of Chamberlain Heights" might not be among them. The show apparently predicted the death in a 2016 episode.

In the said episode, it was depicted that the late NBA legend went down in a helicopter crash. Looking distressed, Kobe was seen crawling out of the helicopter but was struggling to do so because he was holding his trophies.

A character from the show then tried to help, telling him, "Pass us the trophies, and we'll help you." Kobe, however, refused and the helicopter exploded.

Amid the shock, some people on Internet also linked the 41-year-old's death to a conspiracy theory. "The coincidence behind Kobe's death seems more than natural. Just few hours ago, Lebron James just broke Kobe's record of all time scoring. Kobe's last tweet was about wishing lebron well and now he's gone," a user wrote on Twitter. "I'm not a conspiracy theorist but this is really shocking to me."

Another tweet, which was posted on November 14, 2012, read, "Kobe is going to end up dying in a helicopter crash."

Kobe and his daughter Gianna were on their way to Bryant's Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, California when the helicopter they boarded on crashed on Sunday, January 26 in Calabasas, California due to heavy fog. The duo and seven others on board were killed.

A day after a helicopter crash that took his life, the former L.A. Lakers player is announced as one of the honorees for the 2020 class of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. He will be inducted posthumously in a ceremony that will be held in August in Springfield, Massachusetts, along with Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett. The final list for the 2020 class, however, is yet to be revealed.
