YG Released From Prison Ahead of Grammys Performance

The 'Stay Dangerous' rapper is released on bond on the eve of Grammy Awards after spending a day in jail following his early morning arrest in connection to a robbery.

AceShowbiz - Rapper YG has been released on bail ahead of his performance at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, January 26, 2020.

The 29-year-old hitmaker, real name Keenon Jackson, was released from custody on Friday night, after he was arrested earlier in the day as part of an ongoing criminal investigation.

Deputy James Nagao of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told Entertainment Tonight that authorities obtained a warrant to search his home as part of an ongoing criminal investigation, and he was then taken to Men's Central Jail in California, where he was booked for robbery, and had bail set at $250,000.

His arraignment has been scheduled for Tuesday in Compton Court.

YG will join Kirk Franklin, DJ Khaled, John Legend, Meek Mill, and Roddy Ricch to perform an all-star tribute for the late Nipsey Hussle during Sunday's show.
