The 'Yummy' singer is overwhelmed with emotions as he reflects on his struggle with fame and addresess his battle with Lyme Disease in a heartfelt speech at a playback event.

AceShowbiz - Justin Bieber credited God for helping him "out of a really dark place" as he debuted tracks from his upcoming album during a playback event in Los Angeles on Thursday, January 23, 2020.

The singer launched his comeback last month with new track "Yummy", and went on to open up about his time away from the spotlight, revealing a debilitating battle with tick-borne illness Lyme Disease plagued him over the past two years.

After being introduced by Def Jam chairman Paul Rosenberg and longtime manager and friend Scooter Braun, the "Sorry" hitmaker took the mic to introduce his first album since 2015's "Purpose" with a heartfelt speech about the problems he had faced growing up in the industry.

Opening up on the gratitude he felt toward those that had supported him and his love for wife Hailey Baldwin, who was in attendance, he confessed, "I don't even think I should be alive... I feel like God's brought me out of a really dark place."

According to Billboard, the singer was visibly emotional as he thanked members of his team and studio cohorts, before breaking down when he reached Braun, admitting, "You walked with me through a lot of s**t."

He then announced multiple times, "I need to get it together!" smiling at his emotional delivery.

The new album has been described as a "futuristic R&B/pop project" by Billboard, with the publication drawing parallels to the star's 2013 record "Journals".

A release date for the record has yet to be announced.
