Aoki Lee Simons publicly blasts the Harpo CEO following Oprah's recent comment about her departure from 'On the Record', which chronicles the Def Jam Records co-founder's alleged sexual misconduct scandal.

AceShowbiz - Russell Simmons' daughter Aoki Lee Simons has weighed in on Oprah Winfrey's now-canceled involvement in a documentary implicating her father in sexual misconduct scandal. The 17-year-old girl recently took to social media to express her anger toward the former daytime talk show queen.

Aoki Lee, who is the daughter of the music executive with his ex-wife Kimora Lee Simmons, posted on Instagram Stories a picture of her and her elder sister Ming Lee Simmons seemingly deep in a conversation. She captioned it, "You don't even know how mad Oprah makes me."

Aoki's remark comes after Oprah addressed her withdrawal from a documentary titled "On the Road", which puts the focus on Russell accuser, former Def Jam employee Drew Dixon. "Before the public pressure had started, before Russell had gone with his Instagram, I had gone to the filmmakers, and I said to them, 'Houston, I think we had a problem,' because new information had come forward, the very first time this was announced," Oprah explained her decision to back out of the project.

She continued on "CBS This Morning", "And I said, 'I think we need to pull out of Sundance and if we can't pull out of Sundance, I'm going to have to take my name off. But I don't want to pull my name off, because it's going to be a big hullabaloo (controversy). We need to get it right. There's some inconsistencies in the story that we need to look at.' "

Oprah also insisted that she did not distance herself from the project because of Russell's pressure. "This is not a victory for Russell, and I unequivocally say I did not pull out because of Russell," she stressed, after previously admitting that the Def Jam Records co-founder "attempted to pressure" her. She added, "This is not a victory lap for him. I cannot be silenced by Russell Simmons for all I've been through."
