Autopsy results determine that Truett Foster McKeehan, the 21-year-old son of the Christian rapper, died after accidentally overdosing on fentanyl and amphetamines.

Truett Foster McKeehan, 21, passed away suddenly at his home in Nashville, Tennessee in October (19), with an autopsy later conducted at the Nashville medical examiner's office.

The results of the investigation into McKeehan's death have now been released, with a representative for tobyMac telling People that the 55-year-old's son died after accidentally overdosing on fentanyl and amphetamines.

Several reports quoted The Davidson County Medical Coroner in Tennessee as stating McKeehan's cause of death was "acute combined drug intoxication," which was deemed an "accident."

The documents from the medical office also reportedly stated that McKeehan had "a history of drug and alcohol abuse."

Following McKeehan's death, tobyMac, real name Kevin Michael McKeehan, penned the touching track "21 Years" about his late son, telling fans on Twitter ahead of its release, "What started as getting some of my thoughts and feelings about losing my firstborn son down on paper, ended up a song. 21 Years is a song I never wanted to write. I hope it's for someone out there, or maybe it's just for me."

tobyMac shares four other children with his wife Amanda.
