While he shuts down the fake viral reports that he took his own life after 'depression attack,' the 'Dog's Most Wanted' star admits to having financial issues due to years of medical bills and supporting his big family.

AceShowbiz - Dog the Bounty Hunter a.k.a. Duane Chapman is very much alive and well despite reports stating otherwise. Contrary to the story which has gone viral, the reality TV star is not dead and did not take his own life.

The fake news that has been making its way around social media includes a message alongside a photo of the 66-year-old which read, "Duane 'Dog' Chapman Died of SUICIDE After Depression Attack On His Sickness." The fake news was also claimed to be legitimate reporting from the BBC.

But Dog quickly took matters in his own hands, blasting haters who spread the fake reports. He reposted the fake news on his Instagram account along with a message, "Not so fast HATERS."

Someone admitted he was at first fooled into believing the news until he realized that he saw Dog just weeks ago in 2020. The fake news listed the "Dog's Most Wanted" star's death some time in 2019. "Dude the article scared me until I realized I just saw you a few a weeks ago in 2020...Haters going to hate," the said follower wrote. Another called the fake reports "so annoying."

Dog previously admitted that he's not afraid to die and considered suicide after his wife Beth Chapman passed away from throat cancer. "I just hope that I don't live very much longer without her, because now she made the first step, she's through the gate," he said on the WGN America series.

"She paved a way for me. I want to take a g** d*** pain pill so bad," he continued. "I feel like if I did something to myself right now and passed away suicidal and I got to heaven and was like, 'Hi honey,' and would she go, 'You d*** a** why would you do that?' "

He, however, changed his mind after he had a health emergency due to a pulmonary embolism in the heart back in September 2019. "Oh I was afraid to die," he recalled the time he felt the pain. "I said 'Please let go of my heart honey. Quit squeezing my heart.' So I take that back. I'm not afraid to die, but I don't want to."

In other news, Dog admitted in an interview with the New York Times that he's currently having financial issues. "I'm broke," he said bluntly, attributing the issues to years of medical bills and supporting his big family. He said that if he's not able to take on a very large bounty, he could lose his Colorado home.
